Cruise ship carrying over 3000 passengers to arrive in Maldives

Maldives Association of Yacht Agents (MAYA) has revealed that 'Norwegian Jade' cruise ship carrying over 3000 passengers will be arriving in the Maldives on December 6.

An official from MAYA said this is the largest cruise ship to arrive in the Maldives in recent history. Over 3500 passengers will disembark in Male' city on the day of its arrival, the official informed.

"This cruise ship would be the biggest to arrive in Maldives since the arrival of Costa cruise ships"

The jewel-class cruiseliner is 294 meters in length and has 14 decks. It has nine restaurants, pools and a jogging track.

MAYA said large cruise liners are expected to dock in Maldives every week during the cruiseline season.

Norwegian Jade is a cruise ship for Norwegian Cruise Line.
