A dialysis unit has been inaugurated at the Gnaviyani Atoll Hospital in Fuvahmulah City.
The unit was inaugurated by Vice President Faisal Naseem during his visit to Fuvahmulah Thursday as part of his ongoing visit to the two southernmost atolls.
Speaking after inaugurating the Dialysis Unit at the hospital, the Vice President emphasized the priority accorded by the Administration to improving health care services across the country, and affirmed its commitment to fulfilling the urgent and pressing health care needs of the people.
Vice President Faisal Naseem further highlighted that a large sum in the State Budget is allocated for development of health services.
In this regard, he noted the importance of investing more on programmes to address the issue and prevention of Non-Communicable Diseases. He further urged the hospital staff to be compassionate caregivers.
