President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih commenced his visit to the Laamu Atoll

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has commenced his visit to the islands of Laamu Atoll on Thursday morning.

President Solih was welcomed warmly by the residents of Laamu Atoll upon arrival at Kadhdhoo Airport. The purpose of the President’s visit to the atoll is to address the reception to mark the golden jubilee anniversary of initiation of health services at Laamu Hithadhoo Health Centre.

During his ongoing visit, the President will visit Gan, Hithadhoo and Fonadhoo and will meet with council members and institutional heads representing their respective islands.

The President is also scheduled to meet and spend time with local fishing community of the Atoll.
