The Attorney General's Office (AGO) has revealed that the office provided legal counsel on 1003 cases requested by government entities during 2019.
Statistics publicised by AGO on Friday show that a total of 1082 cases were sent to the AGO for their legal opinion, out of which counsel on 1003 cases were provided.
According to the numbers, the majority of counsel provided were sought on legal agreements. While 354 legal opinions were issued on agreements, 103 legal recommendations were given on regulations. 52 opinions were issued on policies, with 27 opinions issued regarding ratification of bills, and 15 opinions on treaties. Opinions on 452 other issues were also issued to government entities.
