Labour Tribunal's President Zahir has resigned

The Labour Tribunal's President Mr Mohamed Zahir has resigned from his port on Tuesday.

Zahir was appointed as the President of the Tribunal on 4th of September 2019.

Recently in a meeting held in Parliament, Zahir had revealed his distress over not arranging vehicles for the tribunal members. He was heavily criticized for his statement regarding the vehicles. Subsequently, the other members of the tribunal issued a statement stating that they are not involved with Zahir.

The Labour Tribunal is the initial authority to investigate the disputes that arise between the employer and employee.
