Govt implements measures to improve public services

The President’s Office has said, the administration has begun taking special measures to further improve the services provided by government offices.

“Spot audits were conducted for the first time ever by the President's Office to identify the challenges in maximizing service efficiency and minimizing difficulties faced by the persons using public services. In this regard, 54 government institutions were audited to determine the ease and effectiveness of front office and main counter services.”

The audit report disclosed the steps to be taken for enhancing the implementation of technological projects. A cabinet paper was submitted to the cabinet by the President’s Office including detailed recommendations for the efficiency and improvement of the government services.

The relevant measures are currently underway on the implementation of the new guidelines developed with the suggestions from the cabinet.
