A white alert cautionary notice has been issued for the whole Maldives based on the weather forecast of strong wind and heavy showers.
The Maldives Meteorological Service (Met) has forecasted heavy showers with thunderstorms, and violent gusts of 40 miles per hour across the Maldives. Thus, a white alert has been issued today from 10:30 hours to 22:00 hours.
Met has urged the public to be cautious, especially the sea-travellers since lousy weather is foreseen across the country.
Some islands might experience tidal waves during high tide hours, predicted Met.
