Information has been provided to the cabinet on the right to seek and obtain the information.
The Information Commissioner, Hussain Fiyaz Moosa, gave a presentation at an information session held at the President’s Office on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, Vice President Faisal Naseem, cabinet ministers and ministers at the President’s Office.
The presentation given by commissioner Fiyaz provided information on the act of right to seek and obtain the information, the regulations and guidelines developed for the act and challenges faced by the ICOM.
In the meeting, commissioner Fiyaz responded to the questions raised by the ministers. Furthermore, some discussions were carried on methods of disseminating information.
