Travelers' Clinic changed to Flu Clinic

The Travelers’ Clinic established in capital Male' has now been changed to Flu Clinic. The clinic is located behind Male’ Hiya – 2.

The Travelers Clinic was established for screening people who arrive in the Maldives from abroad. However, as a measure to protect against COVID-19, the government have banned tourist arrivals and suspended international flights. All travelers arriving from abroad are being quarantined for 14 days in quarantine facilities as an added precaution.

According to the government’s main hospital, Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), the Travelers’ Clinic has been changed to Flu Clinic starting Saturday. The clinic will be open every day from 1000 to 2200 hrs. All residents including foreigners who have flu symptoms are to visit the clinic.

The Flu Clinic was established so that those with symptoms of fever, cough, or cold could visit the clinic instead of going to the hospital.
