The national bank, Bank of Maldives (BML) has revealed that the bank will be providing essential services on May 11 and 13.
According to BML, the bank will be open this week from 0930 to 1200 hrs on Monday and Wednesday.
Services that will be provided by BML on the days include international transfers, payroll processing, cheque processing for ATM cheques and local bank transfers. The required documentation for international transfers and payroll processing must be submitted through email. Payroll requests to BML accounts will be processed on the same day, while payroll requests to other bank accounts will be processed on the same day if received by 10 am.
Following the detection of COVID-19 in Maldives, government offices, banks, schools and other educational institutions are closed.
