The Maldives recorded 30 new positive cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing the country's tally to 1216.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), the new cases are of 14 Maldivians, 10 Bangladeshi nationals and six Indian citizens. The total number of recoveries have now exceeded 100, with 104 total recoveries.
An elderly woman who recently recovered from COVID-19 passed away on Thursday. The Health Ministry had announced her recovery last week. The woman, who had other health conditions, passed away after her health deteriorated earlier today.
According to the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC), 1556 people are currently in quarantine while 1038 individuals are in isolation.
