Health Minister Ibrahim Ameen on Wednesday announced eases on the lockdown imposed in Male' city area in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The new changes include re-opening retails shops and local fish markets as well as increasing banking hours.
The minister said the eases on the lockdown will be given over phases and that the government has no plans to reopen government offices, schools and mosques during the current stage. However, universities and colleges will be allowed to conduct online lessons, said the minister.
