Electric company provides leeway to settle overdue bills

State Electric Company (STELCO) has announced that the customers who are having difficulty in making payments of the past four months’ [March, April, May and June] bills have the option to settle the due amounts in instalments.

Hassan Mughunee, Managing Director of STELCO said on last Thursday, the company has decided to provide leeway for customers who are having difficulty in settling bills of past four months due to socioeconomic impact owing to COVID-19 pandemic.

STELCO on Sunday instructed customers who wish to avail the leeway to fill a designated form and submit to the company. The form can be submitted online via the company’s website and physically at STELCO’s head office located in Ameenee Magu. Deadline for the submission of the form is two weeks from Sunday.
