Ga. Madaveli island has been lifted from the Health Protection Agency (HPA)’s monitoring status after 18 days.
Madaveli was placed under HPA monitoring after a large number of people tested positive in neighbouring Hoadedhdhoo, which is linked to Madaveli via a causeway. While 44 people tested positive from Hoadedhdhoo, 51 people from Madaveli were tested for the infection. All tests came back negative.
The Health Emergency Operation Centre (HEOC) confirmed that the monitoring status has been removed from the island, and entry and exit will no longer be restricted.
