12 hour curfew to be introduced in five additional islands

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced that 12-hour curfews will be introduced in five islands, increasing the total number of islands with 12-hour curfews to 8.

12-hour curfews are already in place in Addu City, Fuvahmulah City and Laamu Gan. In addition to these islands, curfews will be introduced from 04:00 pm until 04:00 am in GDh. Thinadhoo, Ga. Dhaandhoo, Aa. Maamigili, F. Nilandhoo and F. Feeali.

Earlier on Tuesday, HPA announced that curfews will be in place from 9:00 pm until 04:00 am in all islands where the agency's monitoring mechanisms have been activated. As per the latest figures shared by HPA, monitoring mechanisms have been activated in 70 islands, and entry and exit from these islands have been prohibited.
