Almost 40 percent of the Maldives' adult population has completed the COVID-19 vaccine.
According to the Health Protection Agency, 172,263 people have received the second dose of the vaccine, which is equivalent to 39.17 percent of the eligible population. 311,740 people have received the first dose of the vaccine, which is 70 percent of the eligible population.
HPA said 960 individuals received the second dose of the vaccine on Sunday, and 415 people received the first dose. The central stock currently has 130 doses of the Covishield vaccine and 66,371 doses of the Sinopharm vaccine. 1,314 doses of the Pfizer vaccine are also available although they are reserved for those with medical conditions.
