COVID-19 samples collection centres in Greater Male' Area will be closed on July 19 and 20, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has said.
This year's Day of Arafah and Eid al-Adha falls on July 19 and 20.
In an announcement issued on Sunday, HPA said although sample collection centers will be closed on July 19 and 20, contacts of positive cases and others in quarantine will have their samples collected by HPA's Rapid Response Team.
A large volume of people seek to test their samples for COVID-19 for travel purposes from sample centers and through random sampling teams as authorities have granted permission for those who are vaccinated to travel if a negative PCR test is presented. HPA has not said whether random sampling teams will be active on July 19 and 20.
