Hood appointed as Foreign Relations Secretary

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has assigned Ibrahim Hood as the Secretary of Foreign Relations Office at the President's Office.

The President's Office said he would continue to serve as the head of the Communications Office at the President's Office despite his new appointment.

Hood graduated from the Australian National University with a Master of Arts in International Relations (graduated with First-Class honours). He has close to 16-years of experience in senior positions of the government, including the President's Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He had also worked in NGOs and the private sector. Before serving as head of the Communications Office, he also served as the President's Spokesperson.
