The Health Protection Agency (HPA)'s monitoring machnisms have been activated in five additional islands after COVID-19 cases were identified on the islands.
HPA on Saturday put ADh. Mahibadhoo, V. Thinadhoo, Dh. Kanditheemu, HDh. Nolhivaram and M. Veyvah under monitoring. HPA said entry and exit from the islands will be restricted until the contact tracing process is completed.
Two islands were put under monitoring earlier on Friday. They are Sh. Milandhoo and L. Mundoo. 21 islands in total are now under monitoring.
