The Rehendhi Award has been conferred to 14 women in recognition of their achievements and outstanding services towards national development.
The awards for 2020 and 2021 were conferred to its recipients at a special ceremony held Monday night. The recipients of the 2020 awards are Fathimath Ibrahim, Mariyam Shunana, Aishath Hussain Manik, Ameena Naeem, Hawwa Latheefa, Minha Faiz Rashad and Shifza Musthafa.
This year's awards were conferred to Ahmeema Luthufy, Aminath Shaha Hashim, Zeeniya Ahmed Hameed, Nasiya Abdul Ghafoor, Hawwa Ramiza, Sergent First Calss Nasreena Hassan, Shiyama Ahmed and Fonadhoo Women's Development Committee.
Rehendhi Award is an award conferred in several categories by the Ministry of Gender and Family in recognition of exceptional achievements and services of women at a national level. The annual award was first conferred in 2014.
