The Minister of Gender and Family, Shidhatha Shareef has said that she did not use the car of the Maldives Embassy in Malaysia and that she has not even seen the car.
Shidhatha said this in response to an allegation made against her saying that she used the Embassy’s car for her personal trips. The ACC has also said that they are probing such an issue filed against the Minister by an individual.
Denying the allegation, Shidhatha said that she did not use the car and neither had seen the car and it will be proven when the relevant authorities look into the case.
We pledged to provide freedom of expression. It has been proven now that there is the opportunity to report to the relevant authorities of suspicious acts even If it is from a Minister, said Shidhatha.
