National airline, Maldivian is preparing to commence direct flights between N. Maafaru International Airport and New Delhi, India.
According to Maldivian, the service will commence on October 21. Three weekly flights will be scheduled from Maafaru to New Delhi - on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The Maafaru-New Delhi service will be the first international route organized by Maldivian since the COVID-19 pandemic. The airline said the airfare for a round trip from Maafaru to New Delhi will be USD 285, while a round trip from New Delhi to Maafaru will cost USD 312. Tickets can be purchased through Maldivian's website and its mobile application once the route is launched.
