National carrier, Maldivian has delayed the commencement of direct flights between Maafaru International Airport and Mumbai, India.
Fight operation between Maafaru and Mumbai were scheduled to begin on April 13.
Maldivian Saturday said the date has been moved back to May 9th. The change was brought due to the deteriorating COVID-19 situation in Mumbai, said the airline.
Three weekly flights will be held between the two destinations once the flights are commenced.
