The Fisheries and Agriculture Ministry held a forum on Friday on the occasion of National Farmers' Day.
Farmers' Day is celebrated in the Maldives on October 15. This year, Farmers' Day celebrations are being held in Th. Kandoodhoo. The forum being held in Kandhoodhoo was inaugurated by Minister of Fisheries, Marine Resource and Agriculture, Dr. Hussain Rasheed Hassan.
Speaking at the forum, Minister Hussain said the forum's aim was to identify the challenges faced by the agriculture industry and finding solutions to the problems. During the forum, local farmers shared the difficulties they face in the field, and noted that urban gardening should be given more priority.
