President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Thursday inaugurated the newly-built mosque in Aa. Bodufolhudhoo.
The construction of the mosque began in July 2019, after President Solih's government began administration. The mosque has the capacity to accommodate 300 people.
While Bodufolhudhoo's new mosque has been officially opened, a water storage system is being established on the island. Developing a football ground on the island, as well as land reclamation and water and sanitation project has been handed over to contractors.
The President's Office said over MVR 11.8 million have been spent on development projects of Bodufolhudhoo island over the past two years.
