President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih will be traveling to Sri Lanka to attend the opening ceremony of the Four Nations International Tournament.
Spokesperson of the President's Office, Mohamed Mabrook Azeez, said President Solih would be traveling to Sri Lanka on Monday at the invitation of Sri Lanka's President Gotabaya Rajapaksa. President Solih will attend the opening ceremony of the football tournament as the chief guest.
Four teams will be competing in the Four Nations Cup: Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh, and Seychelles. The first match will be between the Maldives and Sri Lanka. Tickets for the game went on sale on Sunday afternoon.
Sri Lanka is home to a large number of Maldivians. Tickets for the match can be purchased from the Maldivian Embassy in Sri Lanka and the Maldives Community Center on Sunday and Monday.
