Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has mobilized the K. Maafushi Picnic Island Reclamation and Shore Protection Project site.
The project was contracted to MTCC by the Planning Ministry for MVR 10.8 million. The scope of the project includes reclamation operations of 2 hectares and shore protection.
MTCC recently completed a similar project in K. Guraidhoo. The state-owned company has also been contracted to develop a picnic island in K. Kudagiri for Male' City residents.
