Japan extends US$ 2 mln grant to the Maldives

The Japanese government has extended a US$ two million grant to the Maldives.

The Finance Ministry said a Technical Assistance agreement was signed between the Maldives government and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on Thursday. Under the TA, the Maldives will receive US$ 2,050,000, out of which US$ 2 million is a grant from Japan Fund for Poverty Reduction.

The signing ceremony held at the Finance Ministry was attended by the Japanese Ambassador to the Maldives, Keiko Yanai.
