Bangladeshi Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, will be traveling to the Maldives on an official visit this month.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive in the Maldives on December 21 and take on official duties from 21 - 23 December. Her main focus would be to find a solution to the issue of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants in the Maldives and enhance economic ties between Maldives and Bangladesh.
AVAS has learned that the Prime Minister will be staying in the Maldives on holiday following the conclusion of official duties. She will be celebrating the New Year in the Maldives.
Sheikh Hasina will be spending her holiday at a resort developed in Emboodhoo Finolhu near Male City. Reports say 17 rooms have been booked from the resort.
