An all-female crew on Friday operated a Manta Air seaplane for the first time in the Maldives.
The pilot, co-pilot, and the cabin crew on the Manta Air plane that traveled from Male' to Soneva Jani on Friday were female. They are two foreign pilots, Tanya Kleynhans and Larissa Ofenney, and Maldivian cabin crew Aishath Muzna.
In addition to Muzna, another local female, Aminath Thasleema, also works at Manta Air as a seaplane cabin crew. According to reports, Muzna and Thasleema are the only female seaplane cabin crew in the Maldives.
