The Maldives on Monday recorded over 450 new cases of COVID-19.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), 4,197 samples were tested over the past 24 hours, out of which 454 cases were recorded positive.
The numbers show 192 cases were from the capital Male'. This is the highest daily positive number for the city over the past months. An additional 165 cases were recorded in the atolls, and 74 cases in resorts.
The number of active cases is 3,511, and 21 people are hospitalized. The death toll in the Maldives is 264.
