Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has recovered from COVID-19.
Despite having received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and an additional booster shot, the President tested positive for COVID-19 on January 22 when he underwent a PCR test ahead of a trip to Sh. Komandoo. His health did not decline during the infection period.
A government official said the President has now recovered from the illness and has received official clearance to travel. He is also scheduled to meet Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, who is currently visiting the Maldives on an official trip.
