Bidding for Hulhumale' beachfront land plots will open on Tuesday.
According to the Housing Development Corporation (HDC), bids will be accepted between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm on Tuesday. The bids must be submitted to H.Meerumaa, 5th floor.
Sixty plots are up for sale from Hulhumale' Phase II. HDC is selling plots of sizes between 1603,07 and 2633,93 square meters.
As per the government's policy to prioritize issuing land to Male' City residents, only Male' registered individuals can bid on the plots. The plots will be sold to the highest bidders.
A bidder must not have land or property larger than 600 square feet registered to their name in the Greater Male' Area. If a land has been registered under multiple people, the bidder must not be entitled to more than 600 square feet of land when divided between the owners. Furthermore, the bidder must not have bought land from Hulhumale' previously through bidding.
Twenty six beachfront plots are being sold for MVR 3,900 per square meter. The price of the smallest property would exceed MVR 6.2 million. Thirty four beachside properties are being sold for MVR 3,500 per square feet. The price of the cheapest beachside property will exceed MVR 5.6 million.
