Indian gov't donates medical equipment to Senahiya

The Indian government has donated medical equipment to the military hospital, Senahiya.

A ceremony was held at Bandaarakoshi on Monday afternoon to hand over the donation. The equipment was handed over by India's Defense Secretary Akay Kumar, who is currently visiting the Maldives. Defence Minister Mariya Ahmed Didi received the donation.

India's donation of 2800-kg medical equipment includes hospital equipment and other medical equipment used during emergencies.

Chief of Defense Force Major General Abdulla Shamaal, Noce Chief of Defense Force Brigadier General Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ahmed Khaleel attended Monday's ceremony. General officers from MNDF, officials from the Foreign Ministry, and members of the visiting delegation from the Indian military also participated in the ceremony.
