Brig. Gen. Zuhuree appointed as head of MNDF Intelligence

Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has appointed Brigadier General Abdulla Zuhuree as its Intelligence head.

Zuhuree, who was promoted to Brigadier General status, was appointed as the head of MNDF's Intelligence Unit last month.

The role was previously fulfilled by Vice Chief of Defense Force Brigadier General Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef. The reason for the change in hierarchy is unknown. However, it is typical for the responsibilities of high-ranking commanders to change from time to time.

Zuhuree has previously served as the Commander of the Presidential Guard, the Fire and Rescue, and MNDF Southern Area.
