The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has given the green light to hold events and gatherings without limiting the number of attendees.
HPA on January 9 imposed restrictions on Male' City due to the high number of COVID-19 cases in Male', including mandating PCR testing when traveling to islands, banning spectators at sporting events, and capping the number of attendees at functions and ceremonies.
HPA Monday revised its COVID-19 guidelines for the Greater Male' Area as the number of positive cases in the city has reduced significantly. In this regard, HPA lifted the limit on the number of attendees at functions and events. However, all other COVID019 guidelines must continue to be followed in organizing ceremonies, said HPA.
Furthermore, spectators will now be allowed to attend sports events, and PCR tests will no longer be required to travel to islands.
