Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has provided updates on the progress of harbor construction in Lh. Hinnavaru.
The construction of Lh. Hinnavaru Harbour Extension was handed over to MTCC by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure on 10th November 2020. The scope of the project includes dredging and excavation of 32,585.38cbm, construction of 653.2m of quay wall, 124m of breakwater, 90m groyne, 31.88m revetment, and 3,454.31sqm of harbor pavement.
According to MTCC, the construction of quay wall of the southern side harbor of Lh. Hinnavaru has been completed. Currently, the installation of concrete blocks for the quay wall of the northern side harbor is ongoing.
The value of the project is MVR 99.52 million. The project is to be completed within 350 days.
