A woman sustained serious injuries in an accident that occurred in Hulhumale' Phase II on Thursday.
According to Maldives Police Service, the accident involving a heavy vehicle and motorcycle occurred on the bridge that links Hulhumale' Phase I and Phase II. The driver of the motorcycle sustained serious injuries in the accident. The details of her injuries were not disclosed.
Photos of the accident scene circulating on social media show the motorcycle pinned under a wheel of the heavy vehicle.
The police are investigating the case.
