The national bank, Bank of Maldives (BML) on Sunday announced the successful completion of a Barbecue area in K. Kaashidhoo as part of its Community Fund.
The aim of the Kaashidhoo project is to create a space to strengthen relations and bring the community together. The area is equipped with barbecue grills, tables, chairs, and benches. The space also has a ‘fini maizaan’, a relaxing area especially designed for senior citizens.
The winner of the project, Mohamed Visaah said he hoped that the space would be useful for the community and those visiting the island.
The Community Fund is a program to empower individuals and NGOs to contribute to their communities through sustainable projects. As of today, the Bank has provided financial assistance for 65 projects across the country through this Fund.
