MSS brings in a new bulk carrier

Maldives State Shipping (MSS) has acquired a new vessel for its fleet. This is the largest ship to be operated by a local company.

MSS, which has a large stake in the state-owned STO, brought the new ship to the Maldives on Tuesday. The bulk carrier arrived in the Maldives carrying 41,500 tonnes of cargo.

The government shipping company said the ship would operate between Dubai and the Maldives every 20 days.

MSS is working to bring in another ship, MSS Griffin. The vessel will be used to bring goods from Singapore and Malaysia.
