A special portal, "Mathares" has been launched to strengthen the investigations of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).
The portal was launched by JSC Member and Attorney General Ibrahim Riffath at a ceremony held at the JSC.
The Matheres Case Management Portal was established under the Roof Lee Initiative project of the American Bar Association.
The JSC said the purpose of setting up such a portal is to conduct the investigations on the cases submitted to the commission in an enhanced manner. The commission said that the amount of paper used for various purposes in the commission would be reduced significantly with the launch of the Mathares portal.
The JSC is an independent body empowered to investigate and take action against judges.
