Housing Development Corporation (HDC)'s Managing Director Suhail Ahmed has retired.
HDC confirmed that Suhail retired last week and that the corporation's Deputy Managing Director Ahmed Athif is currently in charge of running HDC.
Suhail had been working for HDC since the corporation was established by former President Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom. Suhail worked as HDC's Director General during President Mohamed Waheed and President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayyoom's administrations. He was again appointed as the Managing Director of HDC on December 30, 2018, by the government of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
Suhail has retired after working for HDC for more than 15 years.
