Financial Controller resigns from post

The State's Financial Controller, Fathimath Razeena, has resigned from the post.

Razina was appointed as the Finance Controller on July 5, 2016, during the administration of former President Abdulla Yameen, and filled the post for the past six years. She is resigning after over 20 years in government service to pursue her Ph.D. in Australia.

The main responsibility of the Financial Controller is to oversee and administer the financial system of the State as determined by the Auditor General, to manage the revenue received by the State, and to establish a system to recover the money owed to the State.
