BML announces Sports Scholarship for top athletes

Bank of Maldives (BML) Monday announced its Sports Scholarship as part of its 12 high-impact monthly community initiatives to celebrate leading up to the Bank’s 40th anniversary in November 2022.

The Scholarship program aims to support athletes achieve their sporting potential through targeted programs and will provide three fully funded scholarships for top national athletes to train and develop at recognized high-performance training centres worldwide. The Scholarships will be managed in association with Maldives Olympic Committee (MOC) and will be open to all registered national sports associations.

BML’s In-charge and Acting MD, Aishath Noordeen, said the Bank remains committed to playing an important part in developing sporting talent in the country through youth development programs and partnerships with national associations. She said the Bank was delighted to announce its new Sports Scholarship to support top athletes to achieve greatness on the national and international stage. The Bank's monthly initiatives continue to focus on giving back to the community and investing in the future of the country, she said.
