Famous religious scholar Mufti Ismail bin Musa 'Mufti Menk' has arrived in the Maldives.
Menk was welcomed at the Velana International Airport (VIA) by Islamic Minister Dr. Ahmed Zahir and senior officials from the Islamic Ministry.
Menk will deliver the Friday sermon and lead the Friday prayer congregation at the Islamic Center. He is scheduled to deliver a lecture on Friday night at Alimas Carnival Stage. On October 29, he will deliver a sermon in Addu City, and at Hulhumale' Synthetic Track on the night of October 31.
Mufti Menk, one of the world's most prominent religious scholars, visited the Maldives in 2015, 2016, and 2020 to give religious sermons. The scholar, who hails from Zimbabwe, is highly respected and loved by the locals and Muslims around the world.
