President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Sunday traveled to Lhaviyani atoll for his party primary campaign.
President Solih will go head to head with former President and Parliament Speaker, Mohamed Nasheed, in the main-ruling Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) 's Presidential Primary slated for January 28. The campaigns of both candidates are ongoing in full swing.
The President's first stop during the Lhaviyani tour was Kurendhoo island and Olhuvelifushi next. On his visit to Kurendhoo, he met with the island's MDP members and went door-to-door to campaign. He also inspected the ongoing development projects on the island.
The president also met with MDP members in Olhuvelifushi and inquired about the island's state.
