Chinese travel agencies to resume group tours

Chinese travel agencies will resume outbound group tours to the Maldives next month.

In a tweet, the Chinese Embassy in the Maldives said that Chinese travel agencies and online travel companies would resume group tours to some countries from February 6. Maldives is among the 20 countries to which group tours will be operated.

China reopened its borders on January 8 after being closed for a significant period due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The first flight from China to the Maldives since the border reopening arrived in the Maldives on Wednesday with 198 tourists.
