The construction of 50 housing units in AA. Rasdhoo will be awarded this month, Finance Minister Ibrahim Ameer has said.
Thoddoo MP Hassan Shiyan inquired from the minister when the contractors would be handed over the construction of the 50 housing units in Rasdhoo.
In his written response, the Finance Minister said the bids for the project had been opened and evaluated. Discussions are ongoing before awarding the contract to a party, he said. The ministry hopes to conclude consultations and award the project to a contractor within the month, he added.
MP Hassan Shiyan has previously asked Minister Ameer regarding the Rasdhoo housing units. At the time, the MP had asked when the housing units would be ready for occupancy. The minister said he could not state a date at the time.
