Kendhikulhudhoo neighbourhood fish factory development awarded to party

The development of a neighborhood fish factory in N. Kendhikulhudhoo has been awarded to a party.

The Maldives government signed an agreement to develop a neighborhood fish factory in Kendhikulhudhoo with Indian assistance in February 2021.

The work has now been awarded to Handhu Investment Pvt Ltd, to be completed within seven months. The fish factory will cost MVR 4.4 million and is the largest project to be implemented by the island council to date.

Building neighborhood fish factories in islands is an important pledge in the government's manifesto. Similar agreements have been signed by Addu City Council and GDh. Gadhdhoo Council to develop fish factories in their islands.
