A 35-year-old Indian worker has died in an accident at Maafaru International Airport.
The accident occurred when an excavator being used for runway construction at the airport flipped over, resulting in the worker's death. The accident was reported to the police at 9:27 am on Thursday. According to the police, the injured excavator driver, had already succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital.
The police are investigating the case further.
